Writing in a recent dev-blog, Creative Assembly revealed that the next as-yet-unannounced Total War: Warhammer 2 DLC will be a Lord Pack featuring the Wood Elves and one of the original four races from the second game. That now leaves only the Beastmen, Wood Elves, Norsca, and Warriors of Chaos DLC factions. With the release of The Warden and The Paunch earlier this year, Creative Assembly introduced a major Greenskins rework the last of the core factions from the first game to get their rework. As a result, fans have been calling for them to get a rework for a very long time. Since then, they have slowly become one of the most out-of-date factions, with some of the least popular campaign mechanics. The Wood Elves were first added to Total War: Warhammer with the Realm of the Wood Elves DLC in 2016.
